The Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department is trying to reach into the community to create stronger bonds with citizens. 

The PMRPD utilizes various staff members to attend and participate in community events, public outreach, and special community problems solving meetings. The PMRPD couples the specific officer personality, and subject matter expertise with the unique aspect of the event or issue at hand. Some of our subject matter experts include  SWAT / Active Shooter prevention, mitigation and response, K-9 Demonstrations, fingerprinting children, bicycle safety, Child safety seat usage, GANG awareness, narcotics awareness, neighborhood watch and crime prevention programs.
